Proton eMas 7 EV Selling Price Starts From RM120,000

There will be two variants of the Proton eMAS 7 electric SUV and will be RM120k upwards

The Proton e.MAS 7 is Proton’s first fully electric SUV, a bold move from the Malaysian automaker to capture the growing interest in electric mobility. Built on the Global Modular Architecture (GMA), the e.MAS 7 comes with solid credentials which was developed in collaboration with Chinese automotive giant Geely and boasting a sleek design, advanced battery technology, and decent performance specs.

The Proton e.MAS 7 comes with a 218 PS electric motor, producing 320 Nm of torque and offering an acceleration time of 6.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

This vehicle offers two range options: 345 km or 410 km, depending on the battery size.

Interestingly, the Proton e.MAS 7 showcases flush door handles, sleek headlamps, and a minimalist aesthetic that is becoming standard among EVs. Inside, a large 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital cluster, and advanced safety systems such as autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control are expected to appeal to tech-savvy buyers.

So, Malaysians will be getting a brand new battery powered model built and engineered by Geely in China and marketed by PRO-NET Malaysia and at a very competitive selling price from RM120,000 and this means the adoption of electric vehicles in Malaysia will rise faster. Good news all around.

By the way, here are just a few of the more notable features that are to be standard on this e-SUV:

15.4-inch floating central infotainment screen
10.2-inch digital instrument display
Colour heads-up display
Full-length panoramic sunroof (with physical sunshade!)
16-speaker Wants FlyMe Audio sound system with integrated front headrest speakers and Volvo-like ‘Virtual Venues’ selection
256-colour interior ambient lighting
Dual-zone automatic climate control
Ventilated front seats
360º surround view camera
Comprehensive active driver’s aid suite with Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) etc.

Interesting feature to note with the e.MAS 7 is a 16-speaker FlyMe Sound audio system, with two of its speakers embedded into the headrests (like in the first generation Mazda MX5 Roadster back in 1989) of each front seat for full-on ‘Spatial Sound’.
