Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade Unveiled In Malaysia
The Porsche Taycan just got more exclusive here in Malaysia with the Celestial Jade colour
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, in collaboration with Porsche Asia Pacific, has unveiled a stunning one-off model: the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade. This fully electric sports car showcases an extraordinary paint that changes color depending on the light and angle, inspired by the metamorphosis of jade, a gemstone formed over millennia under intense heat and pressure, resulting in various captivating hues.
The design process for the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade was part of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch programm, which allows for bespoke vehicle customization. The project aimed to embody the vibrancy and innovation of Southeast Asia, celebrating the region’s rich heritage with unique symbols and features.
Moreover, set to premiere at a launch event in Singapore on 5 September 2024, the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade will subsequently tour Southeast Asia before being auctioned for charity in 2025. This special edition builds on the enhanced 2024 Taycan model, boasting improved power, range, and acceleration.
The Turbo S model can achieve peak power of 952PS and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, a whole 0.4 seconds faster than its predecessor. For the first time, Porsche has combined two Chromaflair paints for this model. The intricate painting process took around a year, with 80 hours of handwork involved.
Chromaflair pigments also create a unique color-shifting effect, making the vehicle’s exterior captivating from every angle. The chosen color palette includes “Urban Bamboo,” a vibrant green, and “Shifting Carbon,” a dark gray, culminating in the name “Celestial Jade,” which signifies tradition and luck in Asian culture.
On top of that,the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade features a specially designed logo inspired by “LongMa,” a mythical creature symbolizing power and good fortune, which resonates with the 2024 Chinese Zodiac Year of the Dragon. The car also includes carbon-weave finish components that enhance its sleek look.
Inside, the Taycan offers “Leather to Sample” options, allowing for a range of custom colors. The interior of the Celestial Jade combines Slate Grey leather with a rich Englishgreen, highlighting Porsche’s commitment to personalization.
The expanded Sonderwunsch program now facilitates deeper customization options, enabling clients to create unique vehicles with individual specifications, ensuring each car is a true reflection of its owner’s desires. This dedication to bespoke design reinforces Porsche’s heritage of craftsmanship and innovation.
