GAC GS3 Gets New, More Affordable Variants In Malaysia From RM103,800
The GAC brand in Malaysia has also officially appointed Jack Lim as brand ambassador
WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, has launched an expanded 2024 lineup of the GAC GS3 EMZOOM in Malaysia, featuring two new locally-assembled variants alongside the existing Premium R model.
The introduction of the GS3 EMZOOM Standard and GS3 EMZOOM Exclusive completes WTCA’s localization initiative for this B-segment SUV, which first appeared as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) in April 2024. The 2024 GAC GS3 EMZOOM lineup is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine making 177PS of power and an impressive 270Nm of torque.
Moreover, this power is transmitted to the front wheels through a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission , allowing the GAC GS3 EMZOOM to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.0 seconds. Moreover, it meets Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) standards with a fuel consumption of only 5.9 litres per 100 km.
The striking exterior design of the GS3 EMZOOM features a Mecha Wing grille, Laser Eye Split LED headlights, and electric hidden door handles, creating a modern, aerodynamic profile. At the rear, Light Dart tail lights and a sporty rear spoiler enhance its dynamic look, complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels across all variants.
On top of that, the GS3 Premium R stands out even more with its R-Style Sport Package and exhaust, setting it apart from the Standard and Exclusive models. Inside, the cabin is adorned with a contemporary blue-and-black colour scheme, offering ample space and comfort thanks to a class-leading 2,650mm wheelbase.
All variants include GAC’s signature crystal electronic gear shift and a multifunction steering wheel with four-way adjustment. On the tech front, features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, an electronic parking brake, and Blind Spot Vision are standard.
What’s more, exclusive to the Premium R are luxurious additions such as automatic headlights, High Beam Assist, Fusion Automatic Parking Assist, and a panoramic sunroof. To strengthen its brand presence, WTCA has appointed Malaysian celebrity Jack Lim as the Official Brand Ambassador too.
The pricing for the 2024 GS3 EMZOOM CKD starts at RM103,800 for the Standard variant, with the Exclusive and Premium R variants priced at RM116,800 and RM126,800, respectively. A five year, 150,000km warranty is also standard, with an extended seven year, 180,000km warranty for the first 2,000 customers.
In celebration of its first CKD project, WTCA has launched the “Rev Up with EMZOOM” campaign, running until the end of this year, featuring cash rebates and promotional prices with discounts of up to RM7,000 as well, so don’t miss out.
