New Tesla Model Y ‘Juniper’ Continues Road Tests In The U.S, Will It Save The Brand?

Considering how many massive discounts Tesla is giving, will the new Model Y save Tesla?

Introducing the Tesla Model Y ‘Juniper,’ the latest evolution of the world’s best-selling electric SUV. Although an official reveal date remains uncertain, Elon Musk and his team have been keeping the new model under wraps with its distinctive camouflage, which has become a familiar sight to automotive enthusiasts across America.

Recently, Reddit user Sheffield712 captured a glimpse of the ‘Juniper’ in the Bay Area of San Francisco. Although the photograph doesn’t reveal much detail, it does offer a sneak peek at the rear design of the Tesla vehicle.

Moreover, from what can be discerned, it appears that the new Model Y ‘Juniper’ draws heavy inspiration from the Highland update of the Model 3. Despite its camouflage, the rear design of the SUV seems to closely echo that of the refreshed Model 3 sedan. The image does not clarify whether the rear of the ‘Juniper’ features the red LED light bar with the prominent black ‘TESLA’ lettering seen in another leaked photo from late July.

However, several aspects of the ‘Juniper’ are expected to align with the Model 3 Highland’s updates. These include new wheel designs, updated side mirrors, and a revamped interior. Inside, the ‘Juniper’ is anticipated to offer a redesigned console, enhanced materials, and a new steering system that replaces traditional levers with buttons integrated into the steering wheel.

In terms of performance, the new Tesla Model Y is also likely to surpass its predecessor with increased power and extended driving range. The current Model Y ranges between 283 and 373 miles per charge, depending on the version, and the ‘Juniper’ is expected to push these numbers even further.

On top of that, despite these advancements, Tesla has been tight-lipped about additional specifics. CEO Elon Musk has already ruled out a 2024 launch, leaving experts to speculate that the official unveiling may be pushed to 2025.

As anticipation builds, the Tesla Model Y ‘Juniper’ remains an intriguing and eagerly awaited development in the electric vehicle market, promising enhancements that could set new benchmarks for SUV performance and design.
