Will we see the NIO ONVO L60 here in Malaysia soon?
On 15 August, NIO introduced its new sub-brand, ONVO, with the debut of the ONVO L60, marking a major milestone as the first mass-produced unit of this inaugural model rolled off the assembly line at the F2 factory in Hefei city. Will we be seeing this car here in Malaysia as well?
The vehicle, bearing the official serial number “0000001,” signifies a key achievement for the company and a major step forward in their electric vehicle (EV) lineup. The ONVO L60 is designed as a mid-sized all-electric SUV and has quickly attracted attention for its unique design features.
Moreover, its daytime running lights and tail light design draw inspiration from the concept of “The Road Upward,” reflecting both aesthetics and innovative engineering. The L60 boasts an impressive aerodynamic profile, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.229 Cd at 120km/h, which contributes to its superior performance and efficiency.
Inside, the ONVO L60 offers a high-tech and luxurious experience. It is equipped with a 13-inch head-up display (HUD), a 17.2-inch 3K central control screen, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen positioned at the end of the central armrest. Additionally, the vehicle features the newly developed ONVO OS system, enhancing the user interface and overall driving experience.
On top of that, the dimensions of the ONVO L60 include a length of 4,828mm, a width of 1,930mm, and a height of 1,616mm, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm. These dimensions make the L60 larger than the Tesla Model Y, offering more interior space for passengers and cargo. Since space and practicality are important in Malaysia, this car should sell well here.
The L60 will come with three different battery options, providing ranges of 555km, 730km, and over 1,000km, thereby catering to a range of driving needs and preferences. According to ONVO’s CEO, Mr. Ai Tiecheng, the L60 is set to be available for purchase in late September, with deliveries anticipated to begin within a week of the market launch.
This rollout represents a significant advancement for ONVO and positions the L60 as a competitive player in the electric SUV market, promising both high performance and cutting-edge technology.
