Alfa Romeo currently makes just two cars, the all new Giulietta and the compact hot hatch MiTo, but there is a news now that the Alfa Romeo management will be making a strong new model lineup. They will be launching a total of nine new models by the year 2016. This latest news was revealed at a Fiat board meeting, which took place in London, last week.
The cars they have planned range from small B-segment offerings, to the luxurious E-segment (think Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series rival). Apparently, they want to sell as many as 300,000 cars per year, following the launch of all these cars. There will be one B-segment city car, one C-segment replacement for the Giulietta, three variants of the Giulia D-segment offering (saloon, estate and crossover), one luxury E-segment car and three additional ‘special’ models, which most likely will turn out to be some sort of crossovers/SUVs, as well as the new Spider, which is being worked on in collaboration with Mazda.
