Peugeot Added To Cycle & Carriage 125-year Automotive Legacy In Malaysia

This follows the collaboration agreement signed between Cycle & Carriage and Stellantis for Peugeot

Cycle & Carriage, a storied automotive brand in Malaysia with a legacy of 125 years, has entered a significant partnership with Stellantis Malaysia. This collaboration marks a transformative moment for Cycle & Carriage as it embarks on retailing brands from the Stellantis portfolio, while simultaneously supporting Stellantis Malaysia’s multi-brand and multi-segment strategies.

The partnership aligns perfectly with Cycle & Carriage’s objectives for growth and market expansion within the Malaysian automotive sector. By leveraging its extensive network and rich experience, Cycle & Carriage aims to deliver exceptional vehicle ownership experiences to its customers. 

Moreover, Stellantis Malaysia, as the principal entity, provides Cycle & Carriage with the unique opportunity to offer a variety of brands under one roof, thereby enhancing market reach and profitability.

Thomas Tok, CEO of Cycle & Carriage, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying “We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter with Stellantis Malaysia. This partnership allows us to offer an expanded product lineup while utilising Cycle & Carriage’s extensive automotive expertise honed over 125 years.” 

On top of that, Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest automaker and mobility provider, manages 14 brands globally. Stellantis Malaysia, which began operations on March 1, 2024, oversees the marketing, sales, and aftersales for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia.

Jamie Morais, Managing Director of Stellantis Malaysia, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “Today is a landmark moment for Stellantis Malaysia. We are excited to welcome Cycle & Carriage as a key partner in our growing network. This collaboration reflects our dedication to exceptional service and our aim to expand our reach to better serve our valued customers.”

The partnership is a crucial part of Stellantis Malaysia’s dealer expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening its market presence and enhancing accessibility to top-quality service nationwide. Initially, two Cycle & Carriage showrooms in Cheras and Batu Caves will begin showcasing the Peugeot brand by the fourth quarter of 2024, with plans to expand to other Stellantis brands and further into Peninsular Malaysia by 2025.

This marks a significant milestone for both companies, building on their successful collaborations in Singapore and Vietnam and hopefully all of ASEAN soon.
