The first batch of Peugeot 408 cars will now be able to be seen on the roads

Peugeot Malaysia celebrated a milestone with the delivery of the first batch of the all-new Peugeot 408 to nine proud owners. This momentous event took place at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, where these initial customers, who had placed their orders in mid-April, drove home their brand-new vehicles.

The all-new Peugeot 408 has garnered significant interest and positive feedback, amassing over 300 bookings to date. Of these, 60 percent are for the GT variant, 22 percent for the Premium, and 18 percent for the Allure. This strong demand underscores the car’s popularity and its unique position in the market.

Moreover, Jamie Francis Morais, Managing Director of Stellantis Malaysia, remarked, “Today marks the beginning of the Peugeot 408 story as we start delivering customer orders. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we aim to sustain this momentum. We are thrilled to welcome our first nine owners and look forward to adding more to the Peugeot family”

Adding to the prestige of the Peugeot 408, His Excellency Axel Cruau, the French Ambassador to Malaysia, has selected the 408 GT as the official vehicle for the French Embassy. At the official launch, he praised its avant-garde design and innovative technology, highlighting the car’s undeniable appeal.

On top of that, the all-new Peugeot 408 showcases a completely redesigned exterior and a host of new technologies, embodying ‘The Language of Attraction.’ It features unique feline design cues, typical of new cars from the brand, within its dynamic fastback silhouette, hinting at the future direction of the brand’s design language.

A standout feature of the Peugeot 408 is its debut of the new brand logo and the advanced i-Cockpit interior, which includes a high-vents architecture. It is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged PureTech engine making 218hp and comes with stylish 18-inch Granite Grey and Granite Black wheels for the Allure and Premium variants.

Locally assembled, the all-new Peugeot 408 is priced at RM 146,055 for the Allure, RM 166,055 for the Premium, and RM 196,055 for the flagship GT, inclusive of a 7-year or 150,000km warranty, whichever comes first, so if this car interests you, then be sure to head over to your nearest Peugeot showroom to test drive it.
