Will the next Batman movie have the Fang Cheng Bao Super 9 as the new Batmobile
BYD is already a well know vehicle manufacturer in Malaysia right now and like many big Chinese car manufacturers, they have created sub-brands to widen their sales segments.
Here is a brand new BYD sub-brand. It is another BYD owned brand which will NOT come to Malaysia and it is called Fangchengbao. They had three new cars at the 2024 Beijing motor show, but it was the Super 9 speedster supercar that turned heads and the Bao 8 SUV that looked production ready.
When BYD announced the Fang Cheng Bao brand, it also unveiled the Super 8, a concept for the Bao 8, and another model, the Bao 3. The Bao 8 is based on the previously announced Super 8 concept, incorporating the design concept of a future starship.
All these BYD vehicles use electrified powertrains and have been designed by Wolfgang Egger (formerly from Lamborghini and also Audi), who penned the sexy looking Alfa Romeo 8C. Yes, BYD has invested in well-known western designers to bring their vehicles into the global market.
The Super 9 will arrive in Chinese showrooms in coming months and its cabin will feature a dual-cockpit and integrated carbon fiber seats. The racing steering wheel looks like something from a space-craft, and the racy buttons on the center console and steering wheel resemble retro sports-cars.
Powertrain details are not available yet and the Super 9’s rear features dual tail lights shaped like the Fang Cheng Bao logo and a bridge-like rear spoiler. On the side of the car, you can notice the number 30, which points out the BYD company’s 30th anniversary.
