Looks like the Taycan design is once again used by the Dayun Yuanhang Y7 electric car
The design is so familiar and can be seen at many a few stands at the recent Beijing Motor Show. The sleek Taycan has impressed many car designers in China and so we have a number of interpretations of this sleek curvaceous looking sedan.
Meet the Dayun Yuanhang Y7 rides on an 800V architecture platform developed in conjunction with Bosch allowing fast charging. Range is currently stated as 800km on the CLTC cycle with the car in the future supposedly featuring a solid-state battery good for 1000km. Two 250 kW motors drive the Yuanhang Y7 with each producing a peak torque of 400 Nm.

This Porsche Taycan looking sedan is 5260mm in length, its width is 2000 and its height is 1490 mm, along with a wheelbase of 3128 mm this sleek sedan is anything but small.
The Y7 is actually the second sedan from the brand after the Y6 launched last year and curiously the two cars a very similar size although the Y7 is actually both 10 mm shorter and lower. Concept versions of the Y7 had scissor doors and these may also be present on the production version.
Dominating the cockpit is a huge 17.38-inch infotainment screen. There’s also an instrument screen and 70-inch augmented reality HUD. Rear seat passengers also enjoy their own screens. This electric car features an immersive audio system with 19 amplifiers. There are also features such as facial recognition for the driver.
Meanwhile, at the same stand at Beijing 2024 there was the very similar looking Y6 which is positioned as a D-class ultra-luxury sedan. This Yuanhang Y6 (pictured above) measures 5270mm in length, 2000mm in width and 1500mm in height with a wheelbase of 3130mm. The long wheelbase and streamlined roof outline the artistic side profile, while also displaying a simple yet elegant feeling.
As for the interior, Yuanhang Y6 is luxurious and intelligent with a driver-centered design concept. 17.38-inch oversized center control screen is located in front of the driver and extends to the top of the center console, with sense of science and technology. All operating functions can be done through it simply with a minimal number of buttons.
