Tesla Cybertruck Is On An Asian Roadshow ONLY And Not For Sale

This is a left hand drive Cybertruck that is doing a regional showing only

In January 2024, Tesla marketers decided it was time to bring the Tesla Cybertruck on an Asian roadshow and China was the first destination. Soon after in late February it landed in Japan. Take note that this is a LEFT hand drive vehicle for now. No right hand drive version has been announced as yet.

For China and Vietnam which is LEFT hand drive nations, this should be no problem for owners who don’t know how to park their own cars. Yes, it is so large that no mall parking or street parking will accommodate its size.

Please take note, FUTURE Cybertruck buyers in Malaysia. You might not be able to park at many Tesla Superchargers located in Malaysian mall car parks as this large truck might NOT make it into the car park at all.

Meanwhile, this is what some big bank balance owners want and they will pay to have this Tesla Cybertruck in their oversized garage (or park outside their homes and block a lane and some).

Interestingly, this travelling Tesla Cybertruck did not make an appearance at the recent 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show and instead was shown at the Tesla Center Ramkhamhaeng in Bangkok over the first weekend in April.

Then yesterday it arrived at the Tesla center in Cyberjaya to provide lots of content opportunity for the attending Malaysian media and influencers.

Sized like a typical American pickup truck and a bit, it sits too wide for everyday use on ASEAN roads, like an early model Hummer.

Still, once Tesla management decides to start building right hand drive versions there will be enough Malaysians, the elite, who will want a unit or two and they will not care where and how they park their Tesla all electric truck.

Moreover, the Tesla Cybertruck RWD starts from USD49,890 (about RM240,000) and comes with about 250 miles (about 402km) of range and a century sprint time of 6.5 seconds. Not much else is known about this variant for now but the starting price is already very concerning.

Meanwhile, the mid spec AWD variant of the Tesla Cybertruck has a starting price of USD68,890 (around RM320,000) with around 547km of range and a 4.1 second century sprint time. It makes 600hp and about 10,080Nm of torque and has a top speed of 180km/h. It also has a towing capacity of approximately 4,990kg.

On the other hand, the top spec Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast starts from USD96,390 (about RM450,000). It has about 515km of range (less than the mid-spec variant) and a 2.6 second century sprint time. It makes 845hp and roughly 13,960Nm of torque. It has a top speed of about 241km/h and about 4,990kg of towing capacity
