VinFast has opened its first dealer store in Indonesia, marking a significant step in its plan to expand its electric vehicle (EV) distribution network in a nation that is embracing electric vehicle ownership faster than Malaysia.
The dealer store, located in Depok, West Java, will offer the VF5 and VF e34 electric cars which will probably be the same models destined for Malaysia.
VinFast plans to further expand its presence across major Indonesian cities throughout the year, coinciding with the nation’s efforts to boost e-mobility adoption, aiming for 15 million EVs on its roads by 2030.
Meanwhile, VinFast has confimed that they will build a USDS1.2 billion electric vehicle (EV) assembly plant in Bekasi to supply right-hand drive EVs to neighboring countries, including Malaysia.
Interestingly, this dealership will initially only showcase two of VinFast’s flagship smart electric vehicles, namely the VF 5 and VF e34, whilst also offering professional consulting, sales, and customer care services.
Moreover, the company said it is also planning for further expansion across major cities in 2024 to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.
“With the opening of the first VinFast dealership in Indonesia, we proudly take another significant step in the journey of bringing high-quality electric vehicles and exceptional after-sales service to consumers in the market,” said Nguyễn Ngọc Chức, Deputy CEO of VinFast Indonesia.
