Geely Galaxy E8 Should Be Sold In Malaysia Before The Xiaomi SU7 Arrives

Since the Geely Galaxy E8 launched before the Xiaomi SU7, is it coming here first?

The Geely Galaxy E8 is a pure electric flagship sedan built on Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). It integrates the classic aesthetics and technological prowess of the brand. Since the Xiaomi SU7 is pretty much also available in China, which of these 2 cars will be sold in Malaysia first?

The Geely Galaxy E8 has a length of 5,010mm, a width of 1,920mm, and a height of 1,465mm, presenting a poised stance reminiscent of a crouching tiger. It integrates the bionic design of the “tiger gaze” with the aesthetics of the “flying eaves,” a structural element in ancient Chinese architecture, crafting headlamps resembling the agile eyes of a tiger.

Moreover, the rear light is also inspired by “the double eaves” of ancient Chinese architecture and complements the front headlights perfectly. With over 20 aerodynamic design features such as the streamlined body, upturned light angles at the end of the headlight, and AGS active air intake grille, the Geely Galaxy E8 achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.199 Cd, providing the optimal balance of aesthetics, driving comfort, and cost efficiency.

The Galaxy E8 also features the world’s first mass-produced integrated luminous front face, “Ripples of Light.” Leveraging the brand’s proprietary “micropore laser carving” technology, two layers are treated with laser etching on the front bumper to carve out 0.2mm precise holes. Then, another layer of varnish allows even light permeability without exposing the base’s colour.

On top of that, as far as the interior goes, the Geely Galaxy E8 creates an overall atmosphere of comfortable luxury, offering audio-visual enjoyment and intelligent driving pleasure. This is very important as the majority of time spent with one’s car is inside the cabin so the experience there can make or break any ownership experience.

The 8K screen at 45 inches is comparable in height to a mainstream smartphone. It enables users to quickly adapt their experience from smartphone use to interact with a much more extensive interface. This feature would likely be absent in the Malaysian version simply because Geely does not include Android Auto and Apple Carplay in its cars here anyway.

Further enhanced with AI-powered interactive features, the cockpit promises a convenient and immersive experience. Integrated audio system with atmosphere lights, seat stitching, and door panel design echoing the beautiful scenery of West Lake to create a harmonious coexistence of humanistic and technological beauty.
