With a high quality cabin and class-leading equipment, this all new Mazda 2 sedan and hatchback (alos known as the Demio In Japan and some markets) is set to take on the segment with its competitors looking at new ways to attract customers to their showrooms.
Powering the all-new Mazda 2 range is an all new 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder petrol engine that is making its first appearance in Malaysia.
Fitted with i-STOP to help improve fuel economy by more than 20% over the outgoing Mazda 2 model, this naturally aspirated direct injection engine produces 114hp and 148Nm, which drives the front wheels via a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission.
Living up to its stylish appearance, the Mazda2 comes with a generous list of equipment.
Advanced features such as smart keyless entry, push button start, MZD Connect infotainment with satellite navigation and reverse camera are just some of the features included.
Safety features include dynamic stability control (DSC), traction control system (TCS), hill launch assist, and dual frontal airbags.
A choice of two body styles are offered with the all-new Mazda2, a 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback. Both models are identically priced at RM87,956 on-the-road with insurance for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia. Colour choices comprise of Soul Red Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Metropolitan Gray and Aluminium Metallic.
