What many will spend on a car is just the additional equipment on the new A45 S Limited Edition.
The Mercedes-AMG A45 facelift model was launched in Malaysia about halfway through 2023 but now in Europe, a special Limited Edition model is being offered. This new model comes packaged with €14,280.00 worth of equipment, which roughly translates to RM70,000 – enough for a decent family car in Malaysia.
So, what do you get with this Limited Edition model?
Paintwork & Colouring
The exclusive AMG Green Hell Magno paintwork is available for the first time on any compact car from the brand here. The brake calipers are coloured glossy black with white AMG lettering.
Logos and Branding
There’s foiling on the AMG logo, large A45 S lettering on the doors and an AMG crest on the hood. Even the fuel cap gets an AMG logo. There’s also a light projector with the same coat of arms.
Rims
The wheels here are exclusive to this particular Limited Edition model too. They’re 19″ AMG forged wheels in a 7-twin spoke design, finished in matt black with yellow contrast accents.
Interior
The Mercedes-AMG A45 S Limited Edition also comes with special AMG performance seats in black. These seats are upholstered in Artico and Microcut. Yellow stitching adorns the seats, door panels, and dashboard.
You’ll also find “45 S” branding embroidered on the front headrests. The AMG performance steering wheel gets the same stitching and aluminium trim elements with AMG pattern and yellow AMG lettering. Similar branding is found on the floor mats and even the door sills get AMG logos in yellow, which I don’t think I’ve seen before.
So that about wraps up what Mercedes-AMG claims is RM70,000+ worth of upgrades. What do you think? The vehicle can also be optioned with the AMG Night Package, AMG Night Package II or AMG Aerodynamics Package, but these are all cost options that add on to the price tag. Should Mercedes-Benz Malaysia bring in a couple of these for their special Langkawi showroom?
