To celebrate the 40th year of the Bulgari Bulgari line, this luxury house has unveiled a new and re-vamped collections. Classic but always with the luxurious Bulgari twist, the much-loved Bulgari Bulgari gets a slightly more feminine twist this year. Available with either the classic steel bracelet or alligator strap and swathed in diamonds and sapphire blue dial, the typically 41 mm model is joined by the smaller, more delicate 26mm and 31 mm models.
Inspired by the octagonal geometrical motifs of the arches of the Basilica of Maxentius, Rome, the Octo watch amazed and delighted in 2012 when the Octo Finissimo, the thinnest toubillon watch ever to be made was announced. Well now it looks set to win fans over in droves once again with the Octo 38mm featuring sapphire blue dial and either steel or alligator leather strap. Backed up by a 42-hour power reserve and beating at 28,800 vph, the movement drives the hours, minutes, seconds as well as a date display at 3 o’clock. It features automatic winding via a ball bearing-mounted ceramic oscillating weight as well as an instant date change over a short three-minute period and a stop- seconds device that blocks the balance when the crown is pulled out.
Both watches are powered by the mechanical self-winding Calibre BVL 191 which Bulgari developed and produced in-house.
