Aveta Launches Malaysia’s First Adventure Cub, The Ranger Max Explorer, For RM6,988

The Aveta Ranger Max Explorer is here to take Malaysian off-roading fun to new heights

Aveta Malaysia, the manufacturer, assembler and distributor of Aveta motorcycles in the country, has launched the much-awaited Ranger Max Explorer, the first adventure cub in Malaysia. Designed for both on-road and off-road riding, the versatile and rugged motorcycle with its unique modern retro-styling screams fun and adventure from the get-go is here.

Available in two striking colours, namely, Sierra Yellow and Forest Green, the Ranger Max Explorer retails at RM6,988, excluding insurance and road tax. The bike comes with a two-year or 20,000km warranty, whichever comes first.

Moreover, this first-of-its-kind bike in Malaysia is powered by a fuel-efficient 127cc air-cooled four-stroke SOHC engine making 7.5kW power output and 10.5Nm torque paired to a smooth-shifting 4-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).  Stopping power comes from dual-piston front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

The Ranger Max Explorer features a specially engineered double T-bone frame which is a patented design specifically for the models which results in a lightweight but strong frame for exceptional stability and handling. The bike is perfect for leisurely road trips and yet fully capable of taking on unpaved trails to hidden fishing spots and camping sites.

The EEV-rated Aveta Ranger Explorer Max also sports a large 8.5-litre fuel tank, the first of its size in this category, that caters to longer journeys with the long front and dual gas-charged rear shock absorbers soaking up all the bumps for a comfortable ride.  This allows for about 390km of range under ideal circumstances.

The Ranger Max Explorer’s blend of retro styling and modern elements such as its distinctive round headlamp, unique integrated rear tail and indicator lights, round digital LED speedometer, classic side mirrors, multi-spoke rims and rugged partially-exposed, powder-coated frame endows it with a bold and timeless look that stands out from the crowd.

On top of that, according to Steven Lim, Group Managing Director, Aveta Malaysia, the introduction of the Ranger Max Explorer was in response to market demand after the overwhelming success of the Ranger 110 moped, which defied all expectations to sell more than 10,000 units since its launch in 2021.

The company has also launched the Aveta Care on Wheels programme comprising a pickup truck and three bikes to attend to customers in Peninsular Malaysia.  It is also collaborating with motorcycle workshops to set up 30 Aveta Authorised Service Corners all over the country by the end of 2024 to cater to the growing number of Aveta bikes on the road.
