The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupé brings minor design changes.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé model was given a second generation model back in August. It wasn’t clear if the 4-door coupé version of the car would also be coming to this new platform, which was co-developed for the new AMG SL. Well, now we have our answer. The 4-door model will continue on the first AMG GT’s platform for at least another year. However, Mercedes-AMG has given it a bit of an update to keep the styling fresh and up to date with the rest of the line-up.
The newly updated Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door coupé will be coming to showrooms in Europe soon with prices there starting at 207,708.55 euros. Being a high-end model, there will be loads of optional upgrades. Mercedes-AMG has shown what some of these upgrade packages look like and cost:
- The AMG Aerodynamics package: 3,391.50 euros
- The AMG Carbon package exterior: 4,403.00 euros
- The AMG chrome package exterior: 1,130.50 euros

Upgrades To The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupé
Under the hood, you’re still getting the same 4.0L twin turbo V8 motor attached to a PHEV system that debuted in 2021. This is still rated at 831hp and 1,400Nm of torque, so there’s no shortage of power here. The motor is paired to the same 9G AMG Speedshift MCT which sends power to all four wheels via the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ system.
What’s new here is the design. The face takes its styling cues from the new AMG GT Coupé despite being on a completely different platform. The grille now features some glossy black outlining, thicker along the bottom. The side air intakes are redesigned as have the lower intake – it’s all just a tad slimmer but wider than before. Multibeam LED main headlights seem to be unchanged from before.
Mercedes-AMG has also standardized the electric sunroof and a wireless smartphone charger between the rear seats too. We’ll have to wait a while before this updated model comes to Malaysia, if it comes at all.
