Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Now Locally-Assembled From RM378,888

The CKD Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC comes with a nearly 12% price reduction.

When Mercedes-Benz Malaysia brought in the first-ever GLC, few could have predicted its vast success. With 12,000 units sold since 2016, the GLC has become the brand’s best-selling SUV in Malaysia and this was thanks in no small part to the successful local-assembly programme conducted in Pekan, Pahang.

Now the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC too is getting the CKD treatment just 5 months following the launch of the fully-imported model here. In terms of specification and kit, the locally-assembled model is close to the CBU model it replaces. It now comes with a panoramic sliding sun roof but the price drops from RM429,888 to RM378,888 thanks to local assembly.

Under the hood, you still get the same 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder mild hybrid motor with 258 horsepower available at 5,800 rpm and a maximum of 400 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,200 rpm. The electric motor contributes 17 kW and 200Nm of boost. The GLC 300 4MATIC has a 9-speed automatic and all-wheel drive with a top speed of 240km/h and a century sprint time of just 6.2 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Highlights

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC comes decked out with the AMG Line kit for a touch of added sportiness. You get polished aluminium roof rails, aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs, an AMG front and rear apron, an underguard in chrome, tailpipe trims in chrome, glossy black trim connecting the rear lights, DIGITAL LIGHT up front, and 20″ AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels.

Inside, you’ll find ARTICO man-made leather in black with MICROCUT microfibre accents. There are AMG sports pedals, a nappa leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel, a 12.3″ high-res digital instrument cluster and a 11.9″ central display. Both screens are subtly angled towards the driver.

The latest generation of MBUX powers the system, enabling navigation with Augmented Reality. There’s also a 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system as before. Customers can also expect to see a return of Hands-Free Access to the powered tailgate, a 360-degree parking camera with Parktronic and a “transparent bonnet” projection in off-road mode.

With the Step Up Agility+ Plan by Mercedes-Benz Financial, the new locally-assembled GLC 300 4MATIC can be yours from RM2,988 per month.
