Toyota Reportedly Opens Bookings For Alphard And Vellfire In Malaysia

The Toyota Alphard is reportedly set at RM538k and Vellfire going for RM438k

Well, it would appear that Toyota has unveiled the price for the 2023 Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire models and it looks pretty legitimate. The posts also include full price sheets which also give us information about interior and exterior colours, variants and engine displacement among others.

If rumours are to be believed, then the 2.4 litre turbocharged Toyota Alphard in its executive lounge variant will set one back RM538,000 (OTR without insurance) meanwhile the Toyota Vellfire, also in a in a single variant, will cost one RM438,000 (also OTR without insurance as well).

Moreover, the Toyota Alphard will be made available in either a hybrid or purely internal combustion engine (ICE) variants while the Japanese brand has yet to reveal if the Toyota Vellfire will also feature similar powertrain options or if it will be sold exclusively as an ICE model.

Naturally, both Toyota models are paired to a CVT automatic transmission and the 2.5 litre four-cylinder ICE Vellfire makes 188hp and 236Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the hybrid variant makes 247hp and 270Nm of torque, a significant upgrade from a single electric motor.

The 2.4 litre turbocharged four-cylinder on the other hand is good for 275hp and 430Nm of torque and the biggest difference between the two Toyota cars is the price. Interestingly the Vellfire, which is clearly the more popular model among Malaysians today costs RM100,000 less so this is sure to make more Malaysians happier.

On top of that, The Toyota Alphard is available in four exterior colours, namely Black, Platinum White Pearl, Precious Metal and Precious Leo-Blond, with the latter three costing an extra RM1,000 as options and comes in two interior colours, either beige or black.

Meanwhile, the Toyota Vellfire features only three exterior colours, Black, Platinum White Pearl and Precious Metal, again, with the latter two being RM1,000 extra and the interior only comes in black, which is likely why it costs RM100,000 less. A five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty is included as standard.

We all already know that both the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are now longer and feature more toys as well as advanced technology on the inside so we will not bore you with details you already know now but do you think these prices are accurate or is this simply a prank to get people talking about these MPVs ahead of their launch?
