The Tissot Sideral is reborn as a modern take on the 1970s Sideral S watch.
Back in the early 1970s, Tissot gave the world the first ever fibreglass watch – the Sideral S. This lightweight yet robust timepiece has now been reinterpreted for today’s enthusiast in the form of the new Tissot Sideral.
This new Sideral uses a forged carbon case, which is in spirit a lot like the original fibreglass model as it is lightweight, innovative and resilient in nature. It has also been given bold colours – Yellow, Red and Blue, each with a perforated rubber strap and the same interesting fastening system that came in the 1970s. There are also additional accessories in the form of a green, orange and black strap for those looking to create their own unique styles.
The new Tissot Sideral’s unidirectional bezel with diver and regatta graduation is finished in black PVD for a unique look. The multi-coloured luminescent animation and regatta countdown gauge design in green and red captures the retro 1970s aesthetic.
In terms of technical specifications, the Tissot Sideral is water resistant up to 30 bar (300m) and it is powered by the Powermatic 80 Nivachron movement. It features the new Tissot skeletonised rotor.
