All-New Mitsubishi Triton Teased For 26 July Launch

The all-new Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck has been teased a month ahead of its launch.

When it comes to pick-up trucks, it’s difficult to deny the appeal of the Mitsubishi Triton. This is a powerful, versatile and reliable truck that has gotten better looking since 2018.

Now, Mitsubishi Motors is preparing an all-new generation of the Triton and this will be shown to the public in Thailand on the 26th of July 2023.

The new generation Triton was teased ahead of this launch with a couple of photographs that just about give you the outline of the new pick-up’s exterior look. This will be Mitsubishi Motors’ 6th generation Triton. Yes, the Triton name itself is relatively new, but in some markets the Triton still goes by its traditional name of ‘L200‘.

The sixth generation Triton will come with a big redesign that takes a more beefy physical appearance and horizontally-themed design work. The teaser image shows a couple of different LED daytime running light layouts at the top of the Triton’s face. The headlight cluster looks to be on its own in the bumper. The radiator grille looks absolutely enormous. Large enough to have space for ‘M I T S U B I S H I’ to be spelled out on it.

It’s traditionally tough to distinguish the rear section of a pick up truck given how little room there is to do things differently. Mitsubishi Motors has gone for a relatively simple and modern design with T-shaped LED tubes forming the main design highlight from this angle.

“The all-new Triton has been completely reimagined under the design concept Beast Mode, or audacious and daring,” said Seiji Watanabe, division general manager of design, Mitsubishi Motors. “While expressing the toughness and powerfulness expected of a pickup truck, the all-new Triton combines agility with the brand’s robust design to create an imposing look. Tough and reliable, the all-new Triton will make customers want to go on any adventure. Please look forward to seeing it in full this July.”
