BMW Motorrad Malaysia Unveils The New BMW R 1250 RS

The BMW R 1250 RS is more refined offering more dynamic touring experience

BMW Motorrad Malaysia today unveiled the all-new BMW R 1250 RS, powered by the legendary BMW boxer engine and has also been refined to deliver the ultimate sporty and dynamic touring experience. What’s more, it also brings a suite of innovative features that perfectly complement the dynamic nature of this sports tourer.

Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said, “BMW Motorrad’s illustrious heritage has been forged through a century of relentless innovation, delivering sophisticated and powerful advancements tailored to the diverse desires of motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide.

“In Malaysia, we revel in the motorcycling passion that we share with local two-wheel enthusiasts, which fuels our determination to broaden our range of curated motorcycles for every segment.” He added.

Moreover, the all-new BMW R 1250 RS lives up to the stringent legacy of “RS”, which has stood for sports touring par excellence. With more innovation and sophistication, it promises to deliver the ultimate sporty, dynamic touring experience that one simply cannot get anywhere else.

Being a sports tourer, the BMW R 1250 RS also comes as standard with the BMW Integral ABS Pro, a braking system that offers more safety even when leaning into bends along with the Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), which provides additional support during emergency braking by preventing unintentional throttle activation.

The new BMW R 1250 RS is also equipped with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) as standard, which ensures top notch traction and a high level of riding safety as well as the inclusion of new riding modes, namely, Pro and Eco, which provide additional individually configurable riding modes, both with various functionalities.

On top of that, the heart of the new BMW R 1250 RS is an air/liquid-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke boxer engine that makes 136PS of power and 143Nm of torque. This results in an engine delivering smooth power across the entire speed range, while maintaining outstanding fuel consumption and emission numbers.

The new BMW R 1250 RS is available in Sport and Triple Black model variants with unique body colours with the Sport variant of the bike being made available in Lightwhite, Racingblue and Racingred, while its Triple Black variant is available in Blackstorm, which I personally prefer as it is more clean and simple looking.

The Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia makes ownership of the New BMW R 1250 RS easy from RM1,448.00 per month. The sports tourer retails from RM 118,500.00 on the road, with a 3-Year Warranty and 3-Year Roadside Assistance Programmes, without insurance.
