Neta Officially In Malaysia, Intro Synergy Appointed As Sole Distributor

Chinese automaker, Neta, coming to challenge GWM and Chery

Remember when we talked about a few Chinese cars, particularly an all-electric coupe from a Chinese automaker called Neta (or Nezha in China)? Well, They are coming here! Intro Synergy Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of GoAuto Group Sdn Bhd, today announced their appointment as sole distributor for Neta in Malaysia.

Neta

The partnership with Hozon New Energy Auto Co. Ltd., which owns Neta will come into effect in five years and the group and its partners are expected to invest about RM300 million to develop new energy vehicle manufacturing and assembly plants, sales and after sales networks in Malaysia.

Moreover, to celebrate this new partnership, Intro Synergy will introduce the Neta V hatchback in Malaysia soon. The Neta V is one of the most compact models the brand has to offer and is very unique, featuring a buttonless design for an easy ride, a minimalist interior and ergonomic seating as well as a sleek exterior.

Chief among the unique features of the Neta V are its “hawk-eye” laser headlight, sporty rear spoiler and dolphin streamline design. It is definitely a looker, say what you will, but I think that in an age where every new car is looking more like a spaceship, this softer and rounder design is a breath of fresh air.

On top of that, Dato’ SM Azli, Group Chairman of Go Auto, said, “We are excited to announce our partnership with Neta, which will enable us to bring our innovative electric vehicles at affordable and competitive price range to more customers in Malaysia. We hoped that this brand will be well received by public and further to boost EV acceptance in Malaysia. We believe it will captivate visitors at the upcoming autoshow”

What autoshow was he talking about? The Malaysia Autoshow 202, of course, where Malaysians can look forward to the exclusive debut of the Neta brand, along with a soft launch of Neta V. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see and experience the brand up close and personal. Side Note: now I am just waiting for the Neta E Coupe.

The event is scheduled to take place from 4 May until 7 May 2023. Early birds who book during the event will also enjoy significantly lower prices so if the future of the automotive world with Neta excites you and you want to know it before everyone else, then be sure to take this opportunity quickly.

Well, it looks like 2023 is shaping up to be a competitive year for Chinese brands and electric vehicles (EVs) in general and I truly believe that if Neta can price the Neta V in the sweet spot of below RM99,000 (I hope they do), then not only will GWM and Chery face some competition, but all brands in Malaysia as well.

So what do you guys think about this? Are you excited to see Neta enter the Malaysian market? I am and I hope to see the Neta E coupe soon as well.
