BMW 330Li M Sport Facelift Model Launched In Malaysia

The BMW 330Li M Sport gets a minor facelift in Malaysia to complete the G20 range in 2023.

The BMW 330Li M Sport is the version of the G20 3 Series you buy when you want added legroom but lack the funds for a high-spec 5 Series. This model was made for the Chinese market but then found its way to Malaysia in mid-2021.

Less than 2 years later, the facelift of this model has been launched, proving that there is indeed a market for such a vehicle here. Unfortunately, pricing has gone up this time around. The initial model launched for RM277K but the facelift now comes in at RM326K. This sharp climb in price does bring with it a few upgrades.

The facelifted 330Li brings a modernised interior and a refreshed exterior with the changes being largely similar to what has been brought to the rest of the 3 Series family in Malaysia. The 330Li M Sport is 4,823mm long with all additional 110mm of length going to the 2,961mm wheelbase. It comes dressed in 18″ M alloy wheels in double-spoke Style 848 M bicolour. Armed with the facelifted G20 face and rear-end, the 330Li gets the M Aerodynamics Package and M High-Gloss Shadowline trim for an aggressive and modern look.

Inside, expect the new BMW Curved Display and minimalist gear selector are the main highlights. The 330Li M Sport gets an M Leather steering wheel, M Headliner in Anthracite, ambient lighting, a HiFi loudspeaker system, Sensatec leather wrapped dashboard, a panorama glass roof, and a heads up display as standard. Comfort Access (keyless entry), Remote Software Update and BMW ID all come as standard digital features.

Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices and ConnectedDrive services are all included. Parking and Driving Assistant packages are also included as standard.

This includes: Lane Departure Warning with active steering interventions, Lane Change Warning, Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, Rear Crossing Warning with brake intervention, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Speed Limit Info and manual Speed Limit Assist. Additionally, Cruise Control with Braking Function is available as standard for both variants.

The engine is the same as before and shared with the standard wheelbase 330i. It’s a 4 cylinder petrol motor with an output of 258hp and 400Nm of torque.

BHP

This is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic. 0-100km/h is dispatched in 6.2 seconds and the top speed is capped at 250km/h.

The new BMW 330Li M Sport is available in Carbon Black, Mineral White, M Portimao Blue, and Skyscraper Grey. The only interior option is Leather Vernasca in Mocha.
