This is the 9th Generation Honda Accord. This new model is driven by 2.4LT engine featuring Honda Earth Dream technology. This all new Honda Accord is an evolution from its predecessor. There are minor changes up front while a more dramatic change can be found at the rear. The most noticeable revision is the narrow LED headlight projectors that also feature auto-leveling and active cornering lights. The back-end styling shows a integrated rear spoiler into the bootlid.
The interior is almost what you would expect from a car of this level, quality leather wrapped interior, supportive bucket-seats, wood-trim on the steering wheel, and two-tone dashboard. Standard features include keyless entry, engine start/stop button, Honda’s signature ECO button, paddle-shifters, cruise control, and dual-zone air-conditioning with vents for rear passengers. New for this model is a touch-screen infotainment system with GPS navigation, which cleans up the button-filled center console of the previous Accord.
The four-cylinder 2.4L engine produces 174hp and 225Nm of torque and the fuel economy figure is rated at around 15.4 km/l. Meanwhile, the four-cylinder 2.0L engine on offer does a respectable 155 hp and 190 Nm of torque and should be the same engine found in the all new Civic and CR-V SUV. This all-new model is surprisingly lighter than its predecessor by 25 kg while having a chassis that is stiffer and stronger. But while overall length and wheelbase have been shortened by 76 mm and 25 mm respectively, Honda engineers have somehow managed to increase interior space, extend rear legroom, and expand boot space by 30 litres.
Besides its enhanced driving performance, the new Honda Accord is well-equipped with innovative safety features and luxury accessories.
