In case anyone was wondering, yes, the then Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had last year confirmed that Malaysia aims to become a carbon-neutral nation by 2050. The Star had reported it in 2022 and the link to their article on it is here for further information.

Moreover, Revenue Monster Group now marks two milestone ventures with two partnerships, with BlueShark, the EV motorcycle brand, and with Star Future Energy, which is a tech-driven energy solutions provider. Kudos to the brand and I hope the three brands push EV adoption and electric infrastructure quicker in Malaysia.

Lim Kar Aik, Group CEO of Revenue Monster stated, “Revenue Monster Group has always embraced digitalisation and its vast potential. We have always led the way in innovative FinTech and now we are excited to bring our expertise to the green mobility space.”

On top of that, Revenue Monster Group will be leading operations and maintenance of the digital infrastructure of BlueShark’s upcoming smart electric scooter ecosystem including the user smart app which provides users access to features including location mapping, riding statistics, battery performance of the smart vehicle and more.

The app can also connect its users with Blueshark’s customer service team through its booking and appointment feature for the repair and maintenance of the E-bikes. the app will also provide leasing options of their EV motorcycles, subscription plans for its battery swapping services and more through Revenue Monster’s payment services.

As for Revenue Monster Group’s partnership with Star Future Energy (SFE), Revenue Monster Group will take the lead in developing SFE’s Galaxy Charge Superapp that will aim to provide navigation features to allow users to locate and manage their EV charging stations and integrated payment solutions to facilitate the usage of the charging stations.

The Galaxy Charge Superapp will be Malaysia’s first EV charging Superapp and will provide its users with convenience and efficiency, including allowing users to select different tiers of subscription and loyalty plans amongst other features. It is set to be launched in the second quarter of this year.

What do you guys think of this partnership? Will it expedite EV adoption and infrastructure in Malaysia or will that remain a slow process.
