Remember the Maybach? The luxury car division of Mercedes? Well after a long absence it is back and Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed their brand-new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show.
This all new luxury German car has grown in dimensions by 200mm to 5453mm and has a new wheelbase of 3365mm compared to the standard S-Class making it a true limousine.
On the exterior, the 2015 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class can be distinguished by some subtle modifications made to the front grille. In addition, you can see the ‘Maybach’ badging and lettering and there are shorter rear doors with the C pillar relocated.
Inside the cockpit, the new 2015 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class comes with more legroom for the rear passengers to lounge in with plush executive seats that bring first class travel to a sedan.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is also the quietest car in the world thanks to some special seals made to optimize the noise insulation in the car.
Under the bonnet, this Mercedes-Maybach S-Class comes with the twin-turbo V12 6.0-liter engine rated at 530horsepower and 830Nm of torque.
In addition, Mercedes will also offer an S500 version with the bi-turbo V8 4.2 liter unit which can deliver 455horsepower and 700Nm of torque. The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is scheduled to go on sale in February 2015.
