Porsche 911 GT3 RS Tribute To Carrera RS Package Debuts In US
Americans get the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS in the style of the first Carrera RS 2.7.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS was shown late last year, setting the new performance benchmark for the current generation of the 911. For those looking for something with a more nostalgic twist, there’s a special ‘Tribute to Carrera RS Package’ which pays tribute to the 1972 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7.
The package includes unique styling elements for both the exterior and interior, a bespoke Porsche Design timepiece, and several accessories specifically created for the car.
Specially colored Exclusive Manufaktur elements include magnesium wheels painted in Python Green, Python Green mirror caps, and GT3 RS side graphics. PORSCHE script on the underside of the wing and a GT3 RS graphic on the rear bumper continue the theme, which is completed by a special RS logo on the wing end plates featuring the American flag. These unique touches make the Tribute to Carrera RS Package stand out from other 911 models.
In addition to the unique styling elements, the package also includes several accessories that focus on the details. These include a custom car cover, RS valve stem caps with script in Python Green, key caps in Python Green, custom license plate frames, and a pair of 1:43 scale model cars. One of the model cars is the 1973 Carrera RS, while the other is a replica of the new car. These accessories help to tie the package together and create a cohesive theme.
The standard Weissach Package adds a significant amount of exposed carbon fiber to both the interior and exterior, as well as chassis components in the same material. Customers may also opt to have the hood and roof painted in body color at no added cost while still adding the performance benefits exclusive to the Weissach Package.
These include weight-saving Magnesium wheels. The package also adds carbon fiber anti-roll bars, coupling rods, and a shear panel in the same material. These performance upgrades help to improve the car’s handling and make it even more fun to drive.
Several special interior modifications also set cars equipped with the package apart. These include deviated stitching in green, illuminated door sill guards with “Tribute to Carrera RS” script, a center console lid embossed with the “RS” logo, and keys painted in white. These interior upgrades add to the overall luxury and exclusivity of the package.
The 2023 911 GT3 RS equipped with the unique Tribute to Carrera RS Package will carry a total MSRP of US$312,550 or RM1,385,846 before taxes. This price tag may seem steep, but for collectors and Porsche enthusiasts, it is a small price to pay for such a unique and exclusive car.
