Hyundai Stargazer Gets 4-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating

This is the first ASEAN NCAP assessment of the two Hyundai models

So two Hyundai SUV and MPV models, including the Hyundai Stargazer MPV, were recently assessed by the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) and these two models are the first models under the brand tested under the new ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 assessment protocol.

Hyundai Stargazer

The Hyundai Stargazer scored an excellent 4-star rating with a total score of 66.48 points as well as 31.21 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, 14.48 points for the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, 12.04 points for Safety Assist (SA) category and 8.75 points for the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category.

Moreover, just like the Hyundai Creta SUV, the Hyundai Stargazer also comes as standard with 2 airbags and also has ABS and SBR for both front row occupants. It also comes with ISOFIX installation for child seats in the rear compartment and pedestrian protection technology as well.

On top of that, depending on which country the Hyundai Stargazer is sold in, one could also get the MPV with ESC, LDW, FCW and LKA as standard or as optional fitments. In Thailand though, ESC is fitted onto the vehicle as standard. There are also other optional fitments such as AEB City and BSD for both sides of the vehicle.

The fact that Hyundai managed these excellent results with two models is extremely impressive and shows that Hyundai cares about their customers’ safety and that one cannot go wrong when buying a Hyundai Stargazer MPV as safety should always be the priority when it comes to moving people, which is what an MPV is typically for.

Furthermore, in ASEAN countries in general, SUV and MPV models are gaining popularity as the extra seats in the vehicle are seen as an advantage as they can be used to carry more people but the extra space in general is also good to carry more items which is why the Hyundai Stargazer is a good choice here in ASEAN.

Additionally, just like the smaller Hyundai Creta, the Hyundai Stargazer also features many of the optional fitments like the RCCA and CPD systems which are also factors behind the excellent ASEAN NCAP 4-star rating that the MPV achieved. These systems also work the same way they do in any other Hyundai model too.
