Porsche Centre Johor Bahru Officially Opens Its Doors

The new Porsche Centre Johor Bahru in Danga Bay is ready for customers in southern Malaysia.

Porsche has been making big strides in Malaysia in the last few years. They were the first brand to launch an electric performance car in the country and then made the decision to locally-assemble the latest Cayenne earlier this year. This month, Porsche, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), launch the new Porsche Centre Johor Bahru – the first 4S centre for the brand in the country.

Located at No. 21, Persiaran Danga Perdana, Danga Bay, 80200 Johor Bahru, the Porsche Centre Johor Bahru is the fourth of its kind in Malaysia. Other Porsche Centres are located in Sungai Besi, Ara Damansara and Penang. It incorporates the latest ‘Destination Porsche’ corporate architecture which includes a new model Highlight display, E-Performance, Porsche Classic, the Fitting Lounge, Delivery Bay e-sports racing simulators, a more conducive lounge design and Certified Pre-Owned cars.

The southernmost Porsche 4S facility is fully-equipped to cater to all things related to the brand from classic to electric. It is the first in the country and second in the region to be a Certified Porsche Classic Partner, which means it can provide specialist knowledge on maintenance, repair, and restoration on classic Porsches.

They’ve got all the technical support, access to genuine spare parts and a direct line to Porsche AG Classic for special vehicle parts that are unavailable on the market.

“With the opening of this new showroom, we aim to provide an elevated brand experience while fulfilling the desires of sports car fans in the Southern region of Malaysia. With our focus to grow beyond the traditional dealership, we strive to provide high standards of quality, experience, and customer service,” said Christopher Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance.

Those looking for Porsche after sales support will be delighted to learn that this facility integrates Sales, Service, Spare Parts with Porsche-certified Body & Paint. There are 9 service bays in total.

With the facility well-equipped to fulfil our customers’ need, they can continue to bask in the fascination of driving a Porsche, while we care for their dream sports car. We are proud to introduce Malaysia’s first certified Porsche Classic Partner to breathe new life into these classics to ensure that these legends will remain on the road for a long time,” Mr. Christopher Hunter continued.

In terms of electrification, the Porsche Centre Johor Bahru is equipped with 175kW DC Fast charging points as well as 22 kW AC charging points – all available exclusively to SDAP’s Taycan customers. The Porsche Centre Johor Bahru will form part of the nationwide charging network that Porsche is developing in partnership with Shell.
