Geely Introduces Their Own EV Dubbed Panda

This cute Geely EV will be sold under Geometry

It looks like buyers in China are in for another option in the compact and cute electric vehicle (EV) market and it is dubbed the Panda. Step aside Fiat, there’s a new Panda in China and this time, it is from automaker Geely who will be selling this appealing little EV under the geometry brand.

Moreover, this new little Geely EV is set to debut with dimensions of 3,065mm long, 1,522mm wide and 1,600mm tall with a 2,015mm wheelbase. This means it will share similar dimensions with the nation’s current best selling EV, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV.

The Geely Panda EV features a square shape overall and simple round headlights. It also does not feature a traditional front grille. The car also has a bit of rose gold trim around the headlights to add some style to the overall package. The wing mirrors also have a carbon fiber effect on them to add some sportiness to this cute EV.

On top of that, the cute theme is also present on the wheels of this Geely Panda EV as it sits on little four-spoke wheels, which coincidentally is also the same as the Wuling Hongguang EV. Another feature it shares with the Hongguang car is the fact that it only has two doors.

Additionally, the rear of this Geely Panda EV features squared off tail lights which have curved corners. We can also see that depending on the trim level, the car can be had with a panoramic roof spanning almost the entire length of the car or one could have it completely blacked out for a more floating roof design.

At the moment, this Geely Panda EV is yet to be fully unveiled but it is safe to assume that it should feature a similar if not better NDEC range and battery packs that power motors that produce similar numbers as the Wuling Hongguang EV as that car does seem to be its main competitor.

The new Geely Panda EV looks cute but practical, hopefully the interior can be just as practical too otherwise, this car may not have such an easy time selling, though I’m sure if it does not sell well in China, then Geely could just bring the car over to sell under Proton here in Malaysia or sell it under one of their many other brands.
