Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia has just unveiled the all new, next generation Ford Everest SUV and just like the recently launched Ford Ranger pickup truck, it is now more adventure ready, comfortable, capable technologically advanced, refined, fun to drive and bigger than ever before.
This luxury seven-seater SUV will come in three trim levels, Sport, a two wheel drive version costing RM263,888, Trend, available in four-wheel drive and costing RM281,888 and, Titanium, a four-wheel drive option that costs RM308,888. All prices are on-the-road prices without insurance in peninsular Malaysia only.
DJ Simpson, managing director of Ford Asia Pacific Distributor Markets stated, “The Ford Everest has been celebrated over the world as the perfect companion for those who love adventure, recreation and going out with family and friends.”
“With amazing capability at its core, a quiet and refined sanctuary on the inside, class-leading technologies and safety standards, we believe the next-generation Everest will widen its appeal in the market.” He added.
The all new Ford Everest was built to be a capable adventure ready SUV and its exterior reflects this with a rugged and slightly boxy but sleek design. The interior of the car is simple and clean, featuring a large central infotainment screen, digital driver display and ample space to seat seven in pure blissful comfort.
The high tech cabin of the Ford Everest is also filled with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is as intuitive as it is capable, this is another similarity it shares with the Ford Ranger as both cars feature an interior that was built based off of customer feedback and contains a whole host of useful safety features.
Aside from the usual ADB, EBD, ESC and whatnot, the Ford Everest also comes equipped with a new version of the adaptive cruise control, a new active park assist, evasive steer assist, rear cross traffic alert and autonomous emergency braking. All of which have been optimized to ensure the highest level of safety for Ford customers.
At the heart of the all new Ford Everest is Ford’s tried and tested single turbo or Bi-turbo 2.0 litre four cylinder paired to a 10 speed automatic transmission producing either 170Ps or 210Ps of power and either 405Nm or 500Nm of torque respectively.
So what do you think of the all new Ford Everest? I think it looks great and the interior looks cozy enough to sleep in and I hope all future Ford models look and feel as good as this car does.
