It looks like our local football stars will be transported in Kia cars for a while
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has recently officially strategically partnered with Kia through their Malaysian distributor, Dinamikjaya Motors (DJM), which itself is a brand under Bermaz Auto (BAuto).
This partnership will allow FAM many benefits, primarily for the national team led by Harimau Malaya head coach, Kim Pan Gon, to monitor the players all across the country and launch a logistics administration unit within FAM.
According to FAM president, Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin, this strategic partnership with DJM started with the 2023 Asia Cup Qualifiers in June this year and this partnership was supposed to last specifically for the duration of the tournament only.
Datuk Haji Hamidin said, “Through Harimau Malaya’s fine performance and success during the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Bukit Jalil National Stadium, it has attracted DJM’s attention to continue its collaboration with us.”
He also stated, “As the president, surely the strategic collaboration with DJM is one of our proudest achievements where FAM will be able to expand its strategic relationships with more giant companies out there.”
“I hope that through the collaboration with DJM, it will motivate the Harimau Malaya squad to always give their best on the pitch to bring the Malaysian flag to greater heights,” He added.
This strategic partnership with DJM will see FAM and the Harimau Malaya squad employ the use of three units of the newest Kia Grand Utility Vehicle (GUV), which is the 2022 Kia Carnival.
The Vehicle handover Ceremony for Kia through its distributor was held at the new Kia Flagship 3S Centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
In attendance were both Vice Presidents of FAM, Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Mahadi and Dato’ S. Sivasundaram along with the FAM Exco line consisting of, Dato’ Sri Shahril Mokhtar, Syed Yazid Syed Omar and Dr. Siti Faidul Maisarah Abdullah.
FAM general secretary, Mohd Saifuddin Abu Bakar along with the head coach of Harimau Malaya, Kim Pan Gon and his line of coaches were also present.
The Chairman and Executive Director of Prima Auto Pt Ltd/DMJ also stated that DMJ is committed to the development of the sports sector in Malaysia and that sports is one of the channels to create and encourage a healthy environment conducive to the growth of the country.
