Suzuki Swift And Jimny Completely Sold Out In Malaysia

You need to wait for at least 2-4 months to own a new Suzuki Swift and 9 months for the cute Jimny.

Well, this is a great time for the reconditioned car importers (AP Holders) as the NEW stocks of Suzuki vehicles which were launched last year have all been sold out and Suzuki Motors Japan is unable to deliver new stocks to Malaysia in the near future as demand for the Swift and the Jimny in the region has surged.

So, the situation is similar for Suzuki Thailand and also Suzuki Indonesia where their local brand guardians are also waiting patiently for new stocks to arrive from Japan.

Meanwhile, just before Naza Eastern launched the Suzuki brand in Malaysia last year, a few AP holders (private car importers) were selling the Jimny and Swift at very high prices. Swift prices were in the region of RM150k and the Jimny a lofty RM190k.

As soon as Naza Eastern revealed the selling price of a brand new Swift and Jimny with full factory warranty and dealer after sales, the selling prices of reconditioned Jimny and Swift fell sharply and some of these AP holders also stopped bringing in these two models as their sales were almost stagnant.

Now, with the stock shortages from the factory, they will be scouting used car dealers and auction houses in Japan for stocks to import in and sell at high prices as there will be Malaysian buyers who will not be willing to wait patiently for a brand new Suzuki with full factory backup.

So, check the online classifieds and you might find a number of reconditioned Jimny’s and also Swifts back on sales and with much lower asking prices right now.
