The brochure for the long-awaited Perodua Alza may have just been posted online before launch.
Perodua has been keeping its cards pretty close to its chest with regards to their upcoming Alza launch. We know the car shares many core components with the Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia. Those two vehicles have been available in neighbouring countries for some time. However, what Perodua will do with the Alza remains a mystery… Until now.
That’s because someone on Facebook called ‘Encik Ahmad Penjual Kereta’ has just posted what looks like the brochure for the upcoming Alza. It’s not clear if this is the real brochure or just some photoshopped version. This will be the 3rd info leak about the new Alza. A previous leak in early June 2022 shows similar colour options being shared.
The leaked colour table seems to indicate three variants and five colour options. The colours are Ivory White (solid), Glittering Silver Metallic, Garnet Red Metallic, Vintage Brown Metallic, and Elegant Black Metallic. Ivory White and Glittering Silver are very familiar Perodua colours. These are available on many existing models. Garnet Red is another familiar shade, but this one is only offered the Bezza. Other Perodua models have their own shades of red (Lava Red, Cranberry Red, Pearl Delima Red, and Passion Red).
The two unfamiliar colours are Vintage Brown (T35) and Elegant Black (X16). Both of these metallic shades are not available on current Perodua models. If true, this could be the first time the Alza is being offered in brown. This also marks the first time in many years where Perodua is selling a vehicle with a black option. Currently, the darkest colour available for many Perodua models is Granite Grey.
Three variants are being indicated by this table, BP4XZ as the base model with only 3 colour options, BP5HZ and BP5VZ as the higher trim options with all 5 colour options available.
Some additional photos leaked show a two-tone Alza with a white body and black roof.
It is also shown with a red body and a black roof. The table of colours does not indicate if the two tone option is standard with these colours or something to do with the trim level.
There’s also a larger brochure piece that shows a whole bunch of goodies that might come to the new Alza. The brochure also indicates 3 variants and the 5 colours.
Equipment includes an electronic parking brake (which would be a first for the brand, if true). Other goodies being promised by this leaked brochure include a 360 panoramic view monitor. It also shows that the new Alza will be powered by the same powertrain as the recently facelifted Myvi – a 1.5 Dual VVT-i 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor and a D-CVT auto box.
Lots in interesting features in the form of Perodua Smart Drive Assist seem to be making their way to the Alza if this brochure is to be believed. Best wait until the launch of the new Alza before making a purchase decision. All indications point to a launch some time this month.
