Goodyear has done it again – winning the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand award in the tire category in Malaysia for the fifth year running.
Goodyear has a significant presence in Malaysia and has established itself in both the replacement and original equipment markets. With 2013 being the fifth consecutive year winning the award, Goodyear Malaysia’s Managing Director, Ivy Peng, stated that the company was very proud and honored to be recognized by Reader’s Digest and the public.
“The Goodyear team is very excited and thankful for the support from our valuable and dedicated dealers, and loyal customers,” Peng said.
Commenting further on the award, Peng said, “We are a strong believer that it is the people who make the Goodyear brand a force to be reckoned with, both our associates and our trusted dealers. Over the years, we have built a network of dealers that continue to believe and invest in us, and it is through this mutual support and encouragement that we have enabled to stay one step ahead in the tire industry. The win is reaffirmation of our commitment in providing quality products and service to our customers.”
In addition to being a trusted brand among consumers, Goodyear is also a trusted brand among car manufacturers as a preferred original equipment supplier. As a key player in the original equipment segment, Goodyear supplies to the majority of major car manufacturers and assemblers in Malaysia, such as Honda, Mercedes, Nissan, Proton, Perodua and Naza, amongst others.
