Lamborghini Reopens In Kuala Lumpur With The Sunway Group

Lamborghini is now the second supercar brand for the Sunway Group in Malaysia.

Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur opens its doors at a brand new location and with a brand new Malaysian partner. Lamborghini KL is now part of the ‘Sunway’ family which is one of Malaysia’s well known and respected property developer, hotel owner, healthcare provider, fintech company, education group and also theme park operator.

The company is called ‘SunAgata Supercar’ and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Roland Chan was also in attendance to explain the full facilities of the new showroom and its service center.

The event was made even more spectacular, with the attendance of Malaysian billionaire Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah of the Sunway Group and Tan Sri Razman Hashim who is the deputy executive chairman of Sunway Group.

The opening of this brand new full facility dealer was officiated by the Automobili Lamborghini Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Franceso Scardaoni who flew in from his Singapore office.

Automobili Lamborghini recently announced record sales performance for 2021 and Malaysia has been no left out in the rising sales success. Lamborghini had record sales in 2021 with an impressive 8,405 units delivered around the globe, which is the most in its 58-year history.

The Italian automaker Lamborghini is selling more cars than ever before. It broke its all-time sales record last year and sold 13 percent more vehicles than in 2020. The models that contributed to breaking the sales record were the Urus Super SUV, with 5,021 units delivered, the V10-powered Huracán, with 2,586 units delivered, and the V12 Aventador, with 798 units delivered.

The all-time record came after a challenging two-year period for all industries, marking Lamborghini’s ability to thrive even during difficult times.

Looks like the pandemic has not curbed the purchasing power of the super rich around the globe and also Malaysia.

“This record has provided confirmation of three things for us: the solidity of our strategic plan, our brand’s outstanding international reputation, and the exceptional professionalism and hard work shown by our dealers, who have continued to invest alongside us at a challenging, uncertain time,” says Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
