The Volvo V60, estate cousin to the S60, has been launched in Malaysia, in Inscription trim.
Here’s a piece of news most automotive enthusiasts would not have expected: Volvo Car Malaysia has launched the locally-assembled V60 wagon! The Volvo V60 Recharge T8 Inscription is available to view and book at all Volvo Car Malaysia authorised dealerships from RM287,474.
Just like its sedan sibling the S60, the XC60 and the XC90, the V60 is built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). And like the S60 sedan, the V60 estate is available exclusively with the PHEV T8 powertrain, which is branded “Recharge T8”. This powertrain consists of a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder petrol engine paired to an 8-speed conventional automatic gearbox driving the front wheels, assisted by an electric motor moving the rear wheels. The combined output is 407 horsepower and 640Nm of torque. If plugged in and fully charged up, the V60 Recharge T8 will be able to drive on pure electric power for 49 kilometres. 0-100km/h is dispatched in under 5 seconds.
Unlike the S60, which gets the R-Design look, the V60 is dressed up in the Inscription trim package.
According to the Volvo Car Malaysia configurator, the V60 is available in four exterior colours:
- Bright Silver
- Onyx Black
- Thunder Grey
- Crystal White
Two interior options are available:
- Black (Charcoal) Leather with black interior (plus lighter grey wood trim)
- Maroon Brown Leather with black interior (plus darker brown wood trim)
19″ 5-multi spoke black diamond-cut alloy wheels are standard.
Both interior options come with a lighter coloured headliner material, a panoramic sunroof and an Orrefors Crystal gear selector lever.
