EyeSight
EyeSight is Subaru’s proprietary Advanced Driver Assist System and now it’s standard on the XV, joining the other core Subaru Core Technologies such as Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the Boxer Engine and the Subaru Global Platform.
Subaru Eyesight utilises a set of stereo cameras to support the driver in detecting and reacting to certain objects. These include vehicles, bicycles, motorcycles and pedestrians. EyeSight technology in the XV enables the following safety features:
- Pre-Collision Braking
- Pre-Collission Throttle Management
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Lead Vehicle Start Assist
- Lane Departure Warning from 50km/h
- Lane Sway Warning from 60km/h
New SI-DRIVE
Some modern Subaru owners are aware of SI-DRIVE – Subaru’s powertrain performance management system that allows the driver to toggle between Sport and Intelligent driving modes. That SI-DRIVE model selector is now available on the Subaru XV in Malaysia, enabling different driving characteristics to be explored from the XV.
Dual Function X-Mode
X-Mode on the Subaru XV now comes with two settings – Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud – allowing for different levels of off-road ability.
Retuned Suspension
With a set of retuned coils and dampers, the facelifted Subaru XV promises to be even more comfortable.
New Power Memory Seat
The driver’s seat on the refreshed Subaru XV now gets 8-way power adjustment with memory function.
New Exterior
While the design of the XV hasn’t changed much, there is a new front bumper, a new grille and a set of new 17″ wheels for the standard model.
A new GT EDITION
The XV GT Edition was launched on the pre-facelift version and now it has been enhanced along with the standard model. It was created together with Giken Co. Ltd and Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi, just like the Forester GT Edition. The XV GT Edition now features even more aggressive styling with the same set of rims from before making another appearance.
