Lego Technic Releasing BMW M 1000 RR Model Early 2022

LEGO Technics BMW M 1000 RR will be coming to stores soon, but not in time for Christmas.

The BMW M 1000 RR, the first-ever BMW M division superbike arrived in Malaysia with a pricetag of a quarter of a million Ringgit a few months ago, but now there’s a version that you can actually afford from Lego.

Lego Technic will be releasing a 1:5 model of the BMW M 1000 RR on the first of January 2022, which means it won’t be anybody’s Christmas gift this year, not even in Europe or North America.

The Lego Technic BMW M 1000 RR will feature 1,920 individual pieces and will feature fully-functional components such as the 3-speed gearbox, the upside-down fox and the rea swingarm suspension. Even the dashboard with three different display options and the gold drive chain is included along with a paddock stand and pit board for modelling.

The Lego Technic BMW M 1000 RR will be coming to retailers in January 2022 for official LEGO stores and then to other retailers in March 2022 at a price of €199.99. Start saving up now.

About the BMW M 1000 RR

The BMW M 1000 RR is the 1st BMW Motorrad bike from the BMW M division. BMW M engineers modified the chassis for optimal use on the track, improving wheel load distribution and extending the adjustability of the swinging arm pivot point. It comes with a 4-cylinder, water cooled petrol engine with ShiftCam technology and varying valve timing and valve lift. Output is 212 horsepower at 14,500 rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. The engine redlines at 15,100rpm. BMW M added 2 ring forged pistons from Mahle, increased compression to 13.5:1, used longer, lighter titanium connecting rods from Pankl, slimmer and lighter rocker arms and fully machined intake ports with new duct geometry.

Even the exhaust system is lighter and made of titanium. The bike also gets M brakes, M carbon wheels, M lightweight battery, a USB charging socket in the rear and an anti-theft alarm system. The BMW M 1000 RR gets Dynamic Traction Control with a wheelie function and 6-axle sensor box. “Rain”, “Road”, “Dynamic”, “Race Pro1-3” riding modes are also available. Shift Assistant Pro, an anti hopping clutch, the Pit-Lane Limiter, Hill Start Control Pro is also standard. Finally, the BMW M1000RR gets a 6.5″ TFT display and an OBD interface for M GPS data logger and lap triggers. The BMW M1000RR arrives in the M Package in the colour combo Light White, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing Red.
