The next-generation C63 AMG will be more powerful and faster than its predecessor. Mercedes-Benz has just confirmed that the C63 AMG successor will be fitted with the new AMG 4.0-liter V8 Bi-Turbo engine that powers the Mercedes-AMG GT. What’s more interesting is that the engine will deliver up to 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque, which means that we will see a more powerful C63 AMG, possibly an S model or the Black Series version.
The engine will be bolted to the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic transmission with three driving modes and double-declutching function. If you don’t remember, the current V8 engine found on the C63 AMG delivers 457 hp and 600 Nm of torque.
This sedan will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds while top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph or 250 km/h. Mercedes-Benz offers the Performance Package which increases the power by 30 hp to 487 hp, which reduces the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h to just 4.3 seconds.
