Just a couple of months ago Bentley released an all new Continental GT running with an even more powerful version of Bentley’s 6-liter W12 engine. With a power increase from 626bhp to 650bhp, which might sound partial Increase to you, this small upgrade allows the driver of this new GT to arrive at 100km/h from standstill in 0.1 seconds faster, really, does this make a difference to any street driving?
Then, its top speed is now an awesome 1 mph more, from a previous 207mph to 208mph in this car. Again, does this bump up in its top speed really make a difference to the driver?.
Is Bentley really thinking this very very small difference in acceleration and top speed is going to persuade old Continental GT owners to upgrade to this new version? Well, in the world of the wealthy, it will make a difference as money comes easy and the asking price of 159,900 pound sterling (which is about RM940,000 before local taxes and delivery costs) will probably just be a very slight nudge on their bank balance (just like the power difference).
To ensure this ‘more powerful’ GT will stop in time, Bentley engineers have installed a brand new braking system and for now they have the bragging rights to say it is the ‘biggest production car brake system’.

In objective tests the ceramic brake has proven itself to be exceptionally fade resistant – after ten consecutive from 80 mph, the stopping distance only increased by 1.1 metres, to just 61.1 metres.
