Inessa Tushkanova is a 27-year old racer who also does part-time modeling to promote her driving career and to get the money she needs to participate at different rallies around the world. She posed for the Russian, Lithuanian and Ukrainian Playboy issues and since then got famous enough to build up an actual racing career she always dreamed off.
Inessa was born in Ukraine in 1987, but she’s since moved to Moscow in the pursuit of better opportunities in racing. She started racing in 2006, in Ukraine and for a couple of years stayed in the co-driver’s seat.
Once Inessa took the wheels in her hands the gates of race tracks have widely opened for her. “Making the perfect turns on the track gives me satisfaction,” she explained in an interview. The international motor sports competitor and model talked about her passion for racing and the thrill she gets off driving fast in an short discussion with Michael Finger of Nishimachi Photography at the 2013 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge.
However, that’s not the only race she attended to recently. In 2013, she started her first year in the Finnish Rally Championship, which is two steps down from the major leagues of the World Rally Championship.
She rallies all sorts of cars, while still keeping several precious four-wheelers at home, such as a tuned Subaru wagon, two Mitsubishi Evo and a V10 BMW M6. Even though she started modeling before driving professionally, handling a powerful car on the track is by far her passion.
