Dani Pedrosa is a Spanish MotoGP motorcycle racer boasting three world champion titles and now he has a partnership with 8 year old watchmaker, Cvstos for a timepiece forged for a passion in motorsports. This alliance has culminated in the design and development of a watch promoting his name. Presently there are a number of magnificent timepieces devised for some incredible athletes including this wonderful creation.
The Challenge DP incorporates motorbike elements into overall composition.
The Challenge is a substantial timepiece measuring a sizable 53.70mm x 41mm. The Tonneau-shaped case and the high performance materials should make this a practical watch to wear on a daily basis. This timepiece is available in a choice of grade 5 titanium or orange aluminium. Both models have equal merit and so it would come down to personal preference.
Visually, the attention to detail on façade of the watch is superlative. The sub dials replicate brake discs and retrograde power reserve adopts the form of the fuel gage. I also think the opened worked hour and minute hands compliment the exposed date wheel. Ultimately the 3 dimensional architecture of the design is refined and befitting of a timepiece of this quality. Other eminent features include the Dani Pedrosa logo positioned at 9 o’clock and the pronounced indices chromed and Super-Luminova treated.
As with all the company’s exquisite timepieces the Challenge DP is fitted with a highly accomplished engine. The Calibre CVSTOS 577 is a 25 Jewel self winding chronograph movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. This incredible mechanism together with the exclusive tungsten and titanium rotor is visible through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back.
The sensational Challenge DP is limited to 26 pieces of each model
