Learn About The Many Shades Of ‘Ferrari Red’ Right Here

Any fan of supercars will be aware of Ferrari’s affiliation with the colour red. In fact, a lot of Ferrari owners go for red when they get their first Prancing Horse. But there is no actual shade of “Ferrari Red”. And now Ferrari have a bunch of videos up on their Youtube channel that highlight their work with the colour. We’ve extracted the text from each little video in case you’re not interested in listening to the same electronic music every single time.

The first shade they describe is Rosso Mugello.

Rosso Mugello is one of Ferrari’s deepest red hues, inspired by the thrill of the Mugello Circuit. The circuit, located in Tuscany, is owned by Ferrari and is one of the premier test sites for Formula 1 racing.

Next, the tackle Rosso California.

Rosso California was created to celebrate the innate elegance of the Ferrari California. The colour features a rich red hue with iridescent undertones that make it the perfect choice for a coastal lifestyle.

Rosso Portofino is up next.

A shade for versatility, Rosso Portofino was created for the launch of the Ferrari Portofino in 2017 and encapsulates the model’s versatile forms. The triple coat shade is the perfect red for a day along the Italian Riviera or a night on the town.

Then of course we have Rosso Scuderia.

The perfect shade for adrenaline. Rosso Scuderia is the culmination of all things Formula 1. The excitement, victories and unforgettable moments of Scuderia Ferrari are expressed in this striking colour.

They then take it back to Rosso Dino.

Rosso Dino is the bright semi-orange hue with a legacy that spawn from one of Ferrari’s classic models – the Dino 206 GT.

While we’re back in time, there’s also the Rosso 70 anni.

The celebratory red: ‘Rosso 70 Anni’ was created in 2017 to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th birthday, making its debut to the world with the launch of the Ferrari 812 Superfast.

We’re not done yet, there’s also Rosso Corsa Met.

Step into adrenaline with Rosso Corsa Met’s bright and bold allure. The colour was introduced in 2015 with the launch of the Ferrari 488 GTB, and pairs perfectly with the models that centre on the adrenaline found on the track and the road.

Finally, they cover Rosso Corsa.

Rosso Corsa represents the racing DNA that has fuelled the Ferrari bloodline for decades.

Interestingly, there’s no video for Rosso Fiorano. We wonder what happened there…

You can also spend 7 minutes in the paint room watching the automated painting process.
