Novitec Shows The True Potential Of The Ferrari F8 Tributo

Purists may think that the only way to enjoy a Ferrari is the way the factory intended it, but the guys at Novitec beg to differ. Their most recent reveal is the Prancing Horse’s F8 Tributo taken to a new performance and aesthetic extreme.

It feels like it was just yesterday this mid-engine 488 replacement was first shown, but 2020 did pretty much Zoom by. Novitec doubtlessly put that time into making the F8 Tributo the best that it could possibly be. Given how good their other work on Ferraris has been, this one has our expectations high. They’ve developed a whole range of custom parts, from the gold plated exhaust system down to the carbon fibre bodywork.

Their custom bodywork can be optioned either in naked carbon or with a high-gloss clear coat and they say their work improves aerodynamics. Parts include a 2-piece front spoiler, flaps on the side air intakes, trim for the wide air intake in the front a diffuser and so much more. They’ve even worked with Vossen to get these awesome alloy wheels.

The range of options is really quite dependant on what one wants out of their Ferrari. Novitec will tune the 3.9L V8 to 802hp if you want them to. That’s up from 720hp that Ferrari themselves give you.

Making a sports car like the Ferrari F8 Tributo even faster and more exclusive is the domain of NOVITEC. The German automotive refinement specialist fulfills the wishes of the owners of the Italian two-seater with a complete refinement range. For example, NOVITEC offers various performance levels for the 3.9-liter eight-cylinder twin-turbo up to a peak output of 590 kW / 802 hp and a peak torque of 898 Nm. As a result, the mid-engine sports car catapults itself to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of more than 340 km/h.

However, the product range includes not only powerful engine tuning and high-performance exhaust systems in various versions. The bodywork is customized with strikingly styled and aerodynamically efficient naked-carbon components. The NOVITEC look is completed with custom hi-tech forged wheels up to 22 inches in diameter on the rear axle, developed in cooperation with American premium manufacturer Vossen. The NOVITEC sports springs are calibrated to work with these wheels.

Of course, NOVITEC can also tailor the interior of the Ferrari to the vehicle owner’s taste. The 3.9-liter eight-cylinder with two turbochargers in the F8 Tributo offers an excellent starting point for powerful tuning. The NOVITEC engine specialists devised several performance kits for this powerplant that unleash the reserves hidden in this engine without impairing its durability. They also developed special mapping for the two plug-and-play NOVITEC N-TRONIC modules in complex test series. These modules are adapted to the vehicle’s electronic engine control system.

The most powerful variant, which includes a NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system, increases peak output from stock 530 kW / 720 hp to 590 kW / 802 hp at 7,950 rpm. At the same time, peak torque grows to 898 Nm. The tuned two-seater hits 100 km/h after just 2.6 seconds. The top speed increases to over 340 km/h. On the road, the NOVITEC boost in power and torque delivers not only improved driving performance, but also even more instantaneous throttle response and more powerful in-gear acceleration. Even without engine tuning, a NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system is an investment in more driving fun.

The exhaust system comes in various versions, including particularly lightweight INCONEL variants, optionally with or without electronic sound management. All variants are fully thermally insulated to optimize the temperature control in the engine bay. The NOVITEC INCONEL sport exhaust, which additionally is plated with 999 gold, not only looks great, it also dissipates heat even better. Two large tailpipes featuring a combination of carbon and stainless steel emphasize the racing looks of the NOVITEC conversion. The range also includes 100-cell sports catalysts, which are likewise thermally insulated and can optionally be ordered with 999 gold plating.

Carbon is the first choice not only in Formula 1 racing, but also when it comes to the NOVITEC aerodynamic-enhancement components for the Ferrari F8 Tributo. All parts are optionally available in a naked-carbon variant with a high-gloss clear coat. In the process, the designers stressed not only exciting looks, but above all aerodynamic efficiency. The front of the mid-engine sports car gets an even more striking profile with an extensive NOVITEC upgrade. To this end, a two-piece front spoiler and flaps on the side air intakes are fitted to the bumper for a further reduction of lift at high speeds. The NOVITEC carbon trim for the wide air intake at the front gives the sports car a look that is reminiscent of the front spoiler of a Formula 1 racing car. An insert for the front hood made of the same composite material rounds off the decidedly sporty look.

The NOVITEC rocker panels give the two-door car an even sportier appearance from the sides as well and channel the airflow with even more precision. Tasteful carbon trim for the side mirrors, together with the NOVITEC air deflectors in the side air intakes, add further sporty touches. The large rear wing, which significantly increases rear-axle downforce at high speeds, dominates the rear end visually. Alternatively, there is also an understated rear spoiler lip. The rear fascia can be upgraded with various NOVITEC aerodynamic-enhancement components. For example, the production diffuser can be enhanced with a cover, air outlets and fins made of carbon. Another detail is a carbon fiber trim piece for vehicles with a rearview camera.

Optionally, there is also a complete NOVITEC diffuser, which is integrated into the production bumper. In addition, the hood can be refined with naked-carbon trim. The wheels also decisively influence the vehicle’s appearance, of course. NOVITEC designed various forged rims specifically for the Ferrari F8 Tributo. As a partner for the development and production, NOVITEC was able to secure the services of Vossen, the American manufacturer of high-end alloy wheels. To put greater emphasis on the wedge shape of the two-seater, the rear axle runs on wheels that are one inch taller than those on the front axle. All NOVITEC wheels compel not only because of their equally light and robust construction, but also because they can be tailored to the individual preferences of the vehicle owners. They can choose from 72 different color variants and from brushed or polished surfaces. The top-of-the-range variant for the sports car from Maranello is the NOVITEC NF10 forged wheel with five delicate twin spokes and center-lock look.

The set on the Ferrari F8 Tributo features a combination of size 9Jx21 wheels at the front and size 12Jx22 on the rear axle. They are fitted with high-performance tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 21 and 335/25 ZR 22. NOVITEC sports springs, which lower the ride height by around 35 millimeters, complete the spectacular appearance of the refined Ferrari. The lowered center of gravity also benefits the handling, making it even livelier. The lowering springs can be installed on all vehicles, with or without frontlift system. NOVITEC also offers its own system that at the touch of a button in the cockpit raises the front by around 40 millimeters for negotiating parking garage ramps or speed humps in city traffic. NOVITEC also offers individuality for every detail of the cockpit. The product range holds countless options including an exclusive interior, which is tailored to the vehicle owner’s personal preferences from the finest leather and Alcantara in any desired color and upholstery design.
