Hari Raya is right around the corner and with that comes the yearly balik kampung exodus and dreaded traffic jams. The exhaustion from the long trips can not only put a damper on your festive mood but also place you, your loved ones and fellow travellers on the road at serious risk. Motorists, however can be rest assured of finding a place to rest and rejuvenate this festive season as PETRONAS continues its popular Coffee Break Campaign for the 15th consecutive year with the first phase on 26-27 July and second phase on 1-2 August.
Motorists will enjoy a can of refreshing Wonda Premium Coffee, a pack of Delfi Top chocolate, Oriental Layer Cake and Munchy’s Lexus biscuits. All these will be put in an attractive Hari Raya-themed pouch. To those celebrating the Hari Raya, there will be PETRONAS branded Hari Raya money packets to be given away too. Just stop by at any of the 39 participating PETRONAS Stations located along the highways and major trunk roads nationwide.
Not only can customers enjoy all the free goodies that will be handed out but they can also fuel up their vehicles with the new PETRONAS PRIMAX 95 with Advanced Energy Formula that stems from the engineering success that has led the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula OneTM Team to nine victories this season. Customers can experience greater savings on their balik kampung travels with the fuel that cleans, creates finer fuel spray and reduces friction to deliver superior fuel economy.
Speaking about the programme, Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, emphasised the role of the PETRONAS Coffee Break Campaign in supporting road safety. “At PETRONAS we realise that tired drivers are more prone to lapse in attention and hence, possible road accidents. That is the reason why for 15 years now, we have been offering our PETRONAS Stations as a place for motorists to conveniently pull over to rest and refresh themselves with complimentary coffee and snacks. Millions of coffee cups have been given away in the past for free to customers to encourage them to stay alert and safe during their long journey,” he said.
“At PETRONAS, we are all about delivering exceptional customer experience with one-stop convenience. Not only can you fuel up your vehicle at the over 1,000 PETRONAS Stations but you can also dine at the various quick-service restaurants, withdraw cash at more than 1,400 ATMs, top up Touch ‘n Go with our friendly and helpful station crew, pray at the surau as well as stock up on snacks and drinks for the family from our Kedai Mesra. It is the most ideal stop to fulfil your many needs during your balik kampung journey”, Ibrahimnuddin added.
PETRONAS further reinforces its commitment to road safety and emergency response services by contributing to St. John Ambulance of Malaysia, a practice PETRONAS has carried out for 20 consecutive years. This year, PETRONAS will contribute RM20,000 to the organisation to fuel up its ambulances that patrol major highways with the new PETRONAS PRIMAX 95 with Advanced Energy Formula.
“In PDB, our customers are very important to us. On top of delivering quality product, we also ensure the alertness and safety of our customers via the PETRONAS Coffee Break Campaign. Through this campaign, we provide a convenient rest stop for them to refresh,” concluded Ibrahimnuddin.
