Ever since Hyundai began their ‘N’ performance sub-brand, they’ve been really pushing it hard. While the Hyundai N division is only 4 years old, they’ve already produced very enticing products, like the i30 N. In fact, they’re currently on a major product offensive. Just yesterday, they showed their Sonata N Line, with an Elantra N Line being showed earlier this year. Today, they teased yet another N Line model, the Tucson N Line.
This new N Line model builds on the fourth generation Tucson, which was just shown this year. The previous model also got a similar N Line treatment. Besides a ‘Spring 2021’ launch date, no other details about the car were shared. However, three digitally rendered images were shared that pretty much reveal what the car will look like.
We’re also not sure what, if any, performance upgrades this N Line model will get. It will look the part of a sporty SUV though, that’s for sure. Inside and out, the Tucson N Line will be different from the regular model and it’ll even get a few unique shades of exterior paint to go with those swanky rims.
All this said, we’re not even sure if we should get excited for this new Tucson at all. Hyundai Malaysia (Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors) no longer sells the previous Tucson. It could be a sign that they’re not going to compete with the X70 and its Japanese rivals.
Here’s the press release with more.
