GOODYEAR APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR ASEAN CLUSTER
Goodyear Asia Pacific has named Andy Cooper as managing director, ASEAN, effective May 12. He succeeds Paul Cadena, who has been appointed to a leadership position in the Goodyear Latin America business.
Cooper brings more than 30 years of experience to Goodyear from various senior sales, marketing and general management positions across Europe, the Middle East and—for the past 10 years—Asia Pacific. This includes for companies such as Avery Dennison, Kodak and Polaroid.
As managing director, ASEAN, Cooper reports to Dan Smytka, president, Asia Pacific, and has full accountability for achieving the cluster’s operational goals, in support of strategic and financial objectives. Key countries within Andy’s oversight include Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam, as well as Korea and Taiwan.
“Andy is a business leader with a proven track record of delivering results in both emerging and developed markets. Throughout his career, he has successfully established and executed strategic plans in complex environments that continually result in delivering significant business value,” said Smytka.
